Soroush Sehhat selected as Int’l Storytelling fest secretary

Iranian actor and director Soroush Sehhat has been selected as the art secretary for the International Storytelling Festival.

Iranian actor and director Soroush Sehhat has been selected as the art secretary for the International Storytelling Festival.

The Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults announced Sehhat as the art secretary of the 21st edition of the event.

The annual international festival will be held at the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) in Tehran from January 21-25, 2019.

Stories are focused on topics such as education, Razavi stories, tales from Shahnameh, and folklore, and will be narrated on stage.

Born in 1965, Soroush Sehhat made his debut TV series with ‘Festival 77’ (1998), which is also written by him.

He made his debut movie with ‘Sharareh’ (1999), directed by Siamak Shayeqi.

Sehhat has appeared in several movies, including ‘Bread, Love and a 1000cc Bike’ (2001), ‘The Sting and the Bee’ (2009), ‘St. Petersburg’ (2009), ‘Under The Water’ (2009), ‘Ekbatan’ (2011), ‘I'm Sleepy’ (2011), ‘The Rules of Accidents’ (2012) and ‘Kidnapped’ (2015).

He has also taken part in several TV series such as: ‘Cold Fever’ (2003-2004), ‘The Man of a Thousand Faces’ (2007), ‘Shams-ol-Emareh’ (2009), ‘The Safe’ (2009), ‘Mankind's Land’ (2009) and ‘A Moment Later’ (2009).

Besides acting, Sehhat has also written for a few TV series, such as ‘Under the City Sky’ (2001), ‘No Words Needed’ (2002), ‘The Grand Prize’ (2005), ‘Barareh Nights’ (2005), ‘Mozaffar’s Garden’ (2006), ‘Sweet and Sour’ (2007), ‘Medical Building’ (2010), ‘The Bounced Check’ (2011), ‘The Silent Tower’ (2012), ‘Pejman’ (2013) and ‘A Candlestick’ (2015).

He has also directed a few TV series, including ‘Checkered’ (2007), ‘The Game’ (2007), ‘Medical Building’ (2010), ‘Pejman’ (2013) and ‘A Candlestick’ (2015).
